Vaaheguroo jee kaa Khaalsaa Vaaheguroo jee kee Fatheh!
There are a number of upcoming programs that everyone should make a strong effort to attend.
First, there’s a youth keertan program next Friday (Nov. 7th) at Gurdvara Sahib Singh Sabha (on 132nd Street in Surrey) for Guru Nanak Dev Jee’s Gurpurab. The program will go from 6pm to Midnight.
Second, there’s a ransbaee the very next day (Saturday, Nov. 8th) at Gurdvara Sahib Sukh Sagar (in New West) as part of the 300 year celebrations. The program will go from 5:30pm to 4:30am.
Third, there’s an Akhand Jaap and Special (Raag-focused) Keertan Darbar on November 11th, also at Gurdvara Sahib Sukh Sagar. November 11th is a Tuesday, but it’s a holiday for almost everyone! The Akhand Jaap is one of the best opportunities to sit down and try to amass spritual wealth and the keertan darbar that evening will definitely be something special as well. Nitnem will start at 4am. The Akhand Jaap will start at 5am. The Keertan Darbar will start at 6pm. The whole program will go from 4am to 9pm and everyone should try to come for as much as possible.
Fourth, there’s the Guru Nanak Free Kitchen which is an excellent opportunity to do Sevaa and help the downtrodden. It will go all the way from the 11th to the 15th in Downtown Vancouver at the Life Skills Center, 412 E. Cordova St. That’s every day from 10am to 5pm. Even if you’re unavailable to be there, you can always help in the form of dropping off food at Gurdvara Sahib Sukh Sagar.
