Scholarships for Post-Secondary Students
January 31st, 2006 by adminCoast Capital Savings is once again helping post-secondary students with their education costs by providing more than $130,000 in scholarships through its Education Awards program.
The credit union is offering 60 Get-Up-And-Go Awards worth $2,000 each to individuals who have worked diligently to achieve a good balance between school and extra-curricular activities, and in turn have made a positive impact in their communities. Three Standing Tall Awards of $5,000 are also available to students who have overcome significant life challenges and achieved personal growth.
“These awards have been developed to focus not just on academics, but to reward those students who are working hard to improve their communities or transform challenges in their own lives into growth opportunities,” said Lloyd Craig, president and CEO, Coast Capital Savings.
Below is information for local applicants who would like to apply for an Education Award from Coast Capital Savings:
In order to be eligible for an Education Award, applicants must be BC residents attending an accredited Canadian university, college or technical school in the fall of 2006.
Financial need will be considered.
Education Awards applications are available at Coast Capital Savings branches or at www.coastcapitalsavings.com.
