An update on our previous post, here are full details about upcoming events hosted by VIRSA: Sikh Alliance Against Youth Violence. These are extremely important events for parents of BC Sikh youth to attend.

Parenting Awareness and Education Sessions:

The parenting classes are very informative, and to date we have received a great response from the past attendees (parents), whom are now able to better communicate with their children. We are going to start 2 sessions in Surrey for January:

Jan 21- 11:00pm-5:00pm

Newton Recreation-Hall

Parenting Support Group:

We also have parenting support groups in local Gurudwaras, where we encourage parents to share their success stories, problems, experiences etc… The support group is usually mediated by an trained individual and at least one guest speaker will present:

Surrey - Singh Sahiba Gurudwara - 12-1pm on January 8th

Vancouver - Akali Singh Gurudwara - 11am - 12pm on January 15th
