Advice to students planning to attend university: Being successful at university is not necessarily determined by how smart or intellectual you are, but is driven by how hard you work and the goals you set for yourself.
Success strategies for school:
• Understanding your priorities and organizing your time is crucial. Procrastination will lead to you feeling stressed out and anxious, so never leave things to the last minute.
• Give yourself some time to breathe. Go engage in an activity that you enjoy. There is no point in studying if your mind is somewhere else.
• Make time for breaks that allow you to relax. Find study tips that work for you. I like to summarize information from readings, textbooks and lecture materials and then write it down.
• My determination and perseverance have definitely supported my aspirations, while setting goals that push my present limits has also helped.
How do you manage your time?
Apart from attending my classes and allowing myself enough time to study, I believe it’s vital to be a well-balanced individual. I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, reading books, listening to music and cooking.
Confidence-boosting strategies: I think it’s important to reflect on your past successes and accomplishments, especially when your current performance may not be your best. It’s essential to always put in your best effort, which will make your failures seem less significant and more like learning opportunities.
