9/11 Rememberance Ceremony
September 11th, 2006 by adminMata Gujri Foundation and the Trinjan Punjabi Folk Academy will host 9/11 Remembrance Ceremony on Monday, September 11, at 7 p.m. at the Dhaliwal Banquet Hall (near 81st Avenue and 128 Street) in Surrey. After the ceremony, participants will be requested to take part in a candlelight vigil. Among others, local journalist and filmmaker Paul Dhillon will introduce his upcoming film (Sweet Amerikan) and share stories of individuals who faced racial profiling and racial discrimination after the 9/11 event. All are encouraged to take part in this ceremony and pay tributes to the victims of 9/11 and other acts of violence. For more information, contact Amy (Amrinder) Ghuman at 604-782-1436.
