Guru Granth Sahib Ji’s Suroop Safely Taken from 9 ft of Water at New Orleans

I just wanted to quickly let the sangat know that the Guru Granth Sahib Ji has been taken out from 9 feets of water in New Orleans at 5:05 pm. There were commandos and scuba divers alongwith the team of UNITED SIKHS who 30 minutes ago safely brought back the Guru Sahib. I had talked to Hardayal veerji real quickly as they were just getting out and on their way back to Baton Rouge.

Considering the situation where there is a full curfew in the city, and all residents are being asked to leave immediately, there’s random shootings and there’s a lot of frustration and bias in peoples mind. It is truly a blessing that we were able to accomplish this feat with the heart of some brave sikhs and volunteers at UNITED SIKHS who took their chance to bring back the Guru Sahib safely, doing whatever it takes. It was so bad that it is guru’s mehar that we were able to do what we just did. Guru Rakha hai and this is a classic sign of his mehar on us.

We are the Singhs and Kaurs, brave like the lions and lioness and I salute those who take the time to get up and make a difference in this world, without selfish reasons. May Waheguru give bless us with Gurmata and keep us together as ONE and in Chardikala.
