We are a little confused as to why no Gursikh in Louisiana had thought of removing Guru Sahib’s suroop during the evacuation. Nonetheless, the story of Guru Maharaj’s suroop recovery is amazing. Sevadaars of UNITED SIKHS were escorted by special officers and scuba drivers. Apparently there were marks on the walls indicating the water level had reached upto 9 feet inside the gurdwara. However, amazingly, Guru Sahib’s suroop had not even been touched by the water. Below is a picture from Sher-E-Punjab newspaper. The UNITED SIKHS website is www.unitedsikhs.org.
